For 3D printing sculptures, we usually use two materials: FDM filament 3D printing and SLA 3D printing.

The above picture is an FDM print. The layer patterns are quite obvious and require plastering and polishing in post-processing.

The picture above shows the details of the sculpture made by SLA printing.

Both processes have their pros and cons

Although FDM post-processing is complicated, the cost is much cheaper than SLA

We usually use sla on sculptures with many details and complex shapes, because the later polishing process is very simple. fdm is usually used for cartoon sculptures and more flat shapes.
